Uber has now officially instated a new policy, where if you want a lost item returned to you, it’s gonna cost a fee of $15. The new fee goes directly toward the driver, and it’s to encourage them to return lost items. This in addition to the recent addition of Uber adding the option of tipping for their drivers.

  1. Good luck in NYC.
Considering the propensity of NYC UBER drivers to constantly work out scams such as cancelling when they realize surge has increased new fares, as well as cancelling and then sticking the passenger with the cancel penalty; I am not sure $15 will help those drivers return a valuable item.
