This promotion is a good way to bump up your Southwest Rapid Rewards credits. If you rent from now until September 30th with Alamo on Southwest.com, you’ll receive 1.0 credits instead of .05 credits when you rent a car for more than 2 days.

As a Rapid Rewards Member, you can receive double credit on any rental of two days or longer.

In addition, receive up to 25% off on every rental. All car classes included. For double credit, you will receive one credit per qualifying rental instead of the standard 0.5 credit. This offer is valid in the United States and Canada through September 30, 2009. For reservations, book online at southwest.com. When booking, enter 7012234 in the Corporate ID/Rate field to receive double credit and earn up to 25% off of your rental. Be sure to provide your Rapid Rewards account number at the time of reservation or at time of rental to receive your credits.

Bottom Line

This is a decent promotion to use if you are a die hard Southwest member and rent with Alamo. However the current Delta/Avis 5,000 Delta Skymiles is in my opinion the best value for your car rental options.
