That was fast! United has matched the American Airlines Double Elite Qualifying Miles promotion with their own Double EQM or EQS (segments) promotion. From September 2, 2009 until December 15th, 2009 you can earn double elite qualifying miles or segments on United. But you can only register for One of the offers.
The American and United promotions are great promotions for those of you who have already earned 2010 status on your favorite carrier. This will allow you to earn miles and status in another carrier. Its always good to build miles in other programs, you never know where you’ll want to fly.
