If you are looking for Delta miles to redeem for a special award, like my friend with his honeymoon, now may be the time to take advantage of this Delta offer. I just received an offer from Delta to receive a 100% bonus on transferred miles. They will charge $.01 plus a $30 processing fee. So lets say you were looking for an award to Italy for example. A business class award will cost you 100,000 Delta Sky Miles. Since Delta limits a single transfer at 30,000 miles, you would need to compelete 4 transactions. At $.01 plus a $30 processing fee, this award would cost you a total of $1,120. This is a great deal for a business class ticket.

Do you believe this ISN’T targeted?
YMMV. I doubt I’m the only one eligable, but the promotion says non-transferrable.
Delta’s website restricts each transfer to 30,000 miles maximum. So for a 100,000 miles ticket, you will have to do 4 transactions, bringing the cost to $1120. Which still isn’t bad for business class from the US to Europe.
@Rita – Thank you for catching that. i’ve updated the blog.
Seems it’s working for me; but I think I’ll pass this time.
I was targeted and I already have well over 200k miles in my account. Not sure what the reasoning for the targeting is. I did burn through about 120k this summer. So they may be looking at people who’s balances have recently taken a hit.
Or alternatively people who are booking trips for themselves + 1 for the Holidays.
I fall into both camps. Any others that were targeted fall in these categories?
I am missing about 12k miles for my trip. Anyone who is targeted for this offer and interested in transferring 12k miles? I can pay for the transfer fees.
