The oneworld MegaDo2012 has seen great interest and as a result a seat on the flight has been hard to acquire. Thanks to the folks at MilePoint and AAdvantage two seats on the plane were recently given away. Here are the results.
MilePoint Give Away
Back on December 2 I posted about how the MilePoint founders were giving away Randy’s seat to MilePoint members who commented in this thread. The winning comment is announced and the winner is Pat89339. Congratulations Pat!
There were 77422 comments entered but it only took 1 comment to win.
AAdvantage Seat Auction Results
AAdvantage ran an auction for one lucky AAdvantage member to win a seat on the oneworld MegaDo 2012. The auction ran from December 7 through December 14 and had 39 bids.
The winning bidder is paying 453,000 American Airlines miles to go on the trip. That is a ton of AA miles for this trip. The bidder must have really wanted to go on the MegaDo. I’d be interested in how that winner feels about the value proposition with the winning bid.
Bottom Line
Two more very difficult to attain oneworld MegaDo2012 seats were recently given away. If you want a ticket to the next MegaDo make sure you purchase your ticket early.
