I received good news on Saturday, I’m going to the One World Mega Do (OWMD). The OWMD sold out within minutes. I completely missed the boat and didn’t get a seat. I did get on the waitlist and patiently waited for any chance to get in on the event. Patience paid off on Saturday and I received a note from the OWMD team that a spot has opened up. Now I”m booked in a coach seat and busy getting caught up on all things OWMD.
American & Hyatt Bonus Opportunities
It appears I’ve missed the Hyatt and American Airlines bonus opportunities since they ended on January 13, 2012. I’d like to participate in a challenge and am looking into how this can be done.
Water Evacuation
Since I am new to the party, I wasn’t able to participate in the charity auctions. The spirit of giving is alive with this event. The winner of the “Win Randy’s Seat Contest” from MilePoint, Pat89339, reached out to me yesterday and gifted me a spot in the evacuation. Thank you Pat!
I’m still trying to get the details on this event, but I believe I’ll get a chance to evacuate a plane in a water evacuation simulation. So far I’ve found out that I’ll need a change of clothes and there is a contest on who jumps out of the plane with style.
Bottom Line
This is my first Mega Do event and I’m looking forward to meeting all the frequent travelers, flights and all the inside travel activities.

Welcome onboard AAOWMD! The evacuation event, to the best of what I grasped on MP before bidding, is about you getting a chance to evacuate yourself from the plane. Though with 40 people, you all may get a chance to evacuate each other too! 😉
