A 65 year old Japanese man allegedly punched a Delta flight attendant and slapped her with an open hand. The incident happened on a flight from Tokyo to Honolulu on January 9, 2012. The FBI said the incident happened on flight 608 around 7:30 am.

Reason For Incident

From Japantoday.

According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court, Sohei Yamanouchi hit the flight attendant once with an open hand and once with a closed fist after drinking multiple glasses of wine.

Bottom Line

Thankfully the flight attendant was not seriously injured. There is obviously no place for violence in the air. I’m surprised this guy has not been banned from flying on Delta.
