Nothing better than a juicy filet mignon and some cocktails at 35,000 feet. It is even sweeter when you are seated in American’s new first class 757 product.

Here are some highlights from the DFW to SEA trip on American Airlines.

Drink

We started strong with a double Absolute and club soda. The drink service was spectacular and the drinks flew through the entire flight.

Food

The food options consisted of Halibut, Chicken or Filet. We went for the red meat. The filet mignon was cooked a perfect medium and the sweet potatoes were tasty.

  1. Hmmm…exact same meal we had in row 32…just a different plate. And better company with @dealswelike 🙂

  2. A carnation? Headphones for an iPod? A place to attach a ring through it so you can sing the Napkin song at Puglias?

  3. I swear I thought this without looking at previous posters’ answers, but its for the button on your shirt to go through so that you have a bib!

  4. My grandmother used to do this all the time – you hang the napkin on a blouse button as a bib.

  5. It’s to attach to a button on a shirt. I’ve even tried that, back when US Airways had great meal services in First long ago.

  6. Use it to attach the napkin to a button on your shirt (basically, it turns the napkin into an adult bib)

  7. as everyone is saying, it is to hook onto your shirt button, to turn it into an adult bib!

  8. As others have said, it’s to attach to your shirt. Though I personally don’t use that ‘function’.
