The Starwood Preferred Guest card from American Express is one of the go to cards in my wallet. They are now offering a 10,000 referral bonus for each friend you refer. This means if you have the card and that refer a friend you will earn a 10,000 bonus. The friend who signs up for the card through your referral will receive Starpoints once they meet the spending threshold.

- Go to the Amex website and log in
- Search for refer a friend
- Enter your friend’s email address, first and last name
- Must send offer by February 13, 2012
- Friend’s will receive an offer to join the card
- Once your friend applies and is approved, you will receive the 10,000 Starpoint bonus

I went to the refer a friend site, and it only shows 5,000 pts that I would get if I referred a friend, so how would I know I would be receiving 10,000?

You are eligible to earn 10,000 Starpoints for each approval up to a total of 500,000 Starpoints. Referrals must be submitted by February 13, 2012 and referred individual(s) must apply by February 28, 2012 and be approved. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Bonus Points to post to your account after each referred prospect is approved for the Card. Due to the confidential nature of the credit approval process, you will not be notified of whether we approve or decline any application(s) from individual(s) you refer.
