Last week marked the day when Continental and United frequent flyer programs have officially become one. We ran a promotion to give away our last Continental Currency coupons in exchange for your best, and worst, Continental Airlines memories. Many of you responded through the comments and we received a few tweets and Facebook wall posts as well.
Continental Currency Coupon Give Away
Three lucky winners were selected and given a Continental currency coupon. Each Continental currency coupon was good for a choice of (1) a premium beverage, (2) a headset while traveling on a Continental operated flight. Even though these are Continental coupons, there are FT reports that they are working on United metal. The best part is they never expire.
Winners
Congratulations to the winners. If you won, you will receive an email, direct message or Facebook message with details on how to receive your Continental Currency.
- Marilyn Storms remembers getting to experience the pointy end of the plane on a regular basis in 2011 (and it’s carrying over to this year)
- Politi Guy‘s best memory was back in Aug on a redeye flight in business from CDG to EWR. All other pax were ZZZing, and the FA gave me three warm Choco cookies
- Kevin (comment #9) remembers when Continental gave him his first operational upgrade flying from STL to EWR. (due to a sports team needing my seat in back) I was such a novice flyer at that time that I almost didn’t take it. My father looked at me like I was crazy when I initially declined it, so I relented and off I went up front. Once I got up there, I was hooked! (to my bank account’s continued dismay) Still, it was a great experience for one of my first CO flights.
You can see the other memories in the comment section of this post and feel free to leave your best or worst memory while you are there. Thank you to all who participated in our little contest.
Our next promotion will go live later today and is called Deals & Martinis. We are running the promotion with Deals We Like so you’ll have double the chances to win. Keep an eye out for the official entry post where you can win one of two American Airlines 10% off coupons.
