Crowdsource vacation planning – Confirmed suite at any Hyatt property in the world

Last year, I applied for the Chase Hyatt Visa credit card as a Hyatt Diamond member and received two confirmed nights in a suite at any Hyatt in the world as the signup bonus.  I used one of those suite nights at the Park Hyatt Tokyo and it was ridiculous.  This leaves me with one remaining suite night that must be used in 2012.  Looking ahead, I have time for an international trip around the August or September time frame. All of my other trips in 2012 have hotels slated already so for this trip, I am looking to let the hotel room have a significant influence on the destination and/or routing.

Simply put, I’ll go anywhere.  Readers, this is where I need your help.  As a newly minted Diamond member, I know some of you veterans out there have experienced the best of the best the Hyatt line has to offer.  My expectations are sky high after staying at the Park Hyatt Tokyo and I want to find the best way to take advantage of this very rare and lucrative suite night benefit with your help.

Where in the world would you use a Hyatt confirmed suite night?  What is the best Hyatt property in the world?

  1. Did you just stay one night? Or stay one night and hope they kept you in the suite while the other days you paid or used award nights? I love the free suite but can’t imagine just using it 1 night in an international city, or even just 2 nights!

  2. Best property in the world could be Park Hyatt Paris Vendome…Would love to see Park Hyatt Zurich in summer!

  3. @Ryan from MA – I will cover that in the Park Hyatt Tokyo review as part of the ongoing Japan trip series.

  4. If you feel like getting upside down, The Hyatt Sanctuary Cove (Gold Coast, Queensland, AUS) is lovely (at least it was on my last visit 8 years ago) I highly recommend it.
