Earlier this week Gary from View from the Wing, and Lucky from One Mile At A Time, shared their concerns over Delta’s website not showing Air France availability in Business Class. It appears the availability is back up, at least post-May 2013, as I’m seeing plenty of availability across the board next summer.
Air France Availability From Go-To Markets
A quick search with Expert Flyer and I found award availability to Paris with Air France from the following cities.
(1) Washington DC
(2) Miami
(3) Atlanta
(4) Detroit
(5) New York, JFK
(6) Montreal
Cross Reference Availability At Delta’s Website
A quick check over at Delta’s website revealed the Air France award availability in Business Class is able to be booked at the low level.
Bottom Line
Air France Business Class award availability appears to be back up on Delta’s website. If you were thinking of booking an award to Europe in Business Class with SkyMiles, now may be a great time to book it.

The Expertflyer results you’ve posted are from next summer. Availability didn’t seem to be restricted post-May, at least when I was searching yesterday. And plenty of space closer in that’s clearly available still appears unbookable by Delta. Do you disagree?
Anecdotally, MIA-CDG up front availability is bupkus in the spring on AF at DL web site. I just started with May and worked backwards. One day in April, a couple in February.
Hi Gary – Not sure I can say I disagree or agree for the pre-May availability. I only searched next summer and missed any reference about a May cutoff for AF blocking award availability to Delta. The examples in my post illustrate there is availability next summer that can be booked at Delta’s website. Did you see any examples of blocking post-May 2013?

I’m seeing the irregularity in flights just before June. Wonder why the cutoff of May month end? I’m seeing availability starting around 6/5/13 on some routes.
I guess AF got tired of Delta blocking all DL space and booking on their elites on AF metal.
I tried to look at October dates…. many JFK or DTW to CDG are not available as far as late October to early November.
Its funny how alot of Delta flights are not available on Air France and alot of Air France flights are not available on Delta? Seems like a mutual block?
