The Delta SkyClub located near gate A 17 is closed Sunday night, October 7, 2012. I approached the SkyClub and was greeted by a blue coat Delta employee. He mentioned the SkyClub was closed due to “equipment failure” but didn’t elaborate. Not sure what that means. I’ve never heard of an equipment failure at a SkyClub.
“Secret” SkyClub In Atlanta’s Terminal A
For those of you leaving out of terminal A this evening and would like a quieter SklyClub or just want one that doesn’t have an “equipment failure†(don’t know how long the “equipment failure†will last) there is a “secret” or at least less used SkyClub in Terminal A. Most people see the big sign near gate A 17 that says “SkyClub†and head straight for it. My suggestion is to ignore that sign and go to the less frequented SkyClub in Atlanta’s terminal A.
To get to this “secret†SkyClub, simply head towards the Chilis restaurant in the middle of the terminal. Go up the escalators and make a left at Chilis. You’ll see a SkyClub entrance. From that level, your credentials will be checked. Once you go up another level you are in the SkyClub that is less frequented.
Hope they get the terminal A SkyClub near gate A 17 back up and running soon.

I’snt the “secret one” closed on saturday and sundays?
Yes, but not this Sunday night.
Is there an FT thread somewhere with photos of the inside? Trying to recall if I’ve been to this one before, I’m visual I’ll know it if I see it…
I prefer that club, but I hate that tiny escalator up to it.
