My favorite business travel bag is the 21 inch one-touch carry-on by Briggs & Riley. It is small enough to fit in tight spaces, but It is also expandable to carry extra items during long periods of travel. So when Briggs & Riley asked if I wanted to give away one free carry-on to Points, Miles & Martinis readers, of course I said yes. We get to share a personal story about our Briggs & Riley carry-on and give one lucky reader a carry-on of their choice from any Briggs & Riley collection.

My Personal Experience With Briggs & Riley Warranty

One of the reasons I love my Briggs & Riley is because they stand by their warranty. After three long years, my 21 inch one-touch carry-on finally gave in a little bit. One side of the handle wore down and would no longer lock in place. Considering the bag had it’s ups and downs going through an average of 50 weeks of travel per year over 3 years and included an average of 2 security checkpoints per week, 2 flights a week, 4 car drives a week and at least 2 shuttle rides per week. Needless to say it was well tested.

Comments

  1. I was going to say #2, covers airline damage, but if it covers that, it might as well cover everything. So I’ll go with #3 Covers damage for any reason whatsoever,

  2. I Believe 1, 4, & 6 should be the priority. Bags are items that get used in an environment where they might be damaged, asking a company to warranty their product for any reason is not fair to ask imo. Also airlines should cover damage that they inflict upon our bags, not the manufacturer of the bags themselves.

  3. Covers Damage for Any reason. The styles I can live without. But give me a bag that gets repaired for any damage, and it will be the only bag I use for life.

  4. 3. Covers damage for any reason whatsoever
This sounds like a total luxury, and sounds like they’d even cover my having made some dumb mistake!

  5. All of the above
The most important to me is the zipper, the wheels and the handle.
If the bag has a shoulder step, it must be included too

  6. Covers Any Damage for ANY reason is important. I also like the transferable aspect. I had a wheel on a garment bag quit turning toward the end of a warranty period. I’d only used the bag a few times when traveling with evening clothes. The receipt was long gone so no under warranty repairs. Cost to repair was so high I simply tossed the bag.
