I really like when I get an airline amenity kit that can be reused, especially when it is nice quality. Some airlines offer great amenity kits that can be reused. For example, American Airlines offers a really cool First Class Amenity kit that can double as an iPad case. But other airlines offer amenity kits that are difficult to reuse due to lack of quality. I’d throw in my experience with Singapore Air’s Business Class amenity kit and Air Seychelles amenity kit. They are more tokens than a reusable kit.
But Delta has recently announced their new Tumi Amenity Kit and it has been well received. There are even reports that it’s going for some serious money over on ebay. In addition to being really cool fabric and a good enough size to reuse, it comes with MALIN+GOETZ products like lip moisturizer and hand / body moisturizer. The black Tumi eye shades are great as well. Lastly, it includes a Delta Plastic (Metal-look) pen, ear plugs, facial tissue & hand wipe, shoe polish & shoe horn, toothbrush, Crest complete toothpaste 24g & dental floss, an unbreakable Comb, and grippe socks.

Used it as a bag holding toiletries going to a third world country to serve.
I’ve used them to store unused gift cards
I used my last kit to take the new handy digital camera with the charger. It fits perfect and is waterproof.Nikon
Coolpix S01 model
Best use for the kits I find is giving them to my daughters
( even now that they are in their 30″s they still appreciate them)

One of my co-workers taught me the trick of using an amenity kit to keep all of my various computer cords and adapters organized. I have an old Continental BusinessFirst kit that I carry all manner of computer odds and ends in.
I use them as cases for toiletries on shorter trips or overnights.
I’ve reused my kit for day trips because it easily stores my phone and other little knicknacks I need.
I use mine to keep control of my chargers, cables and other electronic dodads
I’ve used an amenity kit for a refresher after a long trip. A girl has to look her best 🙂
For long trips, the ear plugs and eye mask make it easier to catch some shut eye
I use it to keep all my “travel only gadgets” stored like international plug adapters and old cell phone that I buy SIM cards for, etc…
i use my kit for short trips to my parents on the weekends
I use my BA biz class bag to store headphones, ipod, plus spare battery.
Good for short trips with no check-in bag. 🙂
Emergency baby change kit with diapers wipes back up outfit
I use mine to store envelopes with different foreign currencies (what I have left from prior foreign trips); then take out when I am going to a particular country – usually enough for snack or even cab fare, just in case ATM doesn’t work, etc.
I use mine to keep my presciption meds.
Power adapters, computer cables, ambien
I definitely put cords and cables in as well.
I’m more geeky than girly!
I keep cords for a pico projector in one
Thanks!
If-if-if I had a Delta Tumi Amenity bag, I use it as an evening purse !! (gorgeous) 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
To take medications on vacation
I’ve never had one but I would put my TENS unit in it and my meds
My wife refills/replaces whatever I may have used (especially the socks and the toothbrush) and takes them to a homeless shelter.
I give my left over amenities to a group who help children going into foster care or are recently homeless. This would be nice for a teen in distress.
I have a collection of them stocked with enough toiletries for different length trips! Easy to grab and go when those last minute MRs pop up.
I use one for cosmetics and another for cords etc in my laptop bag. Both have seen better days….the cosmetic case in particular is due for replacement soon.
I’ve reused an airline amenity kit to keep all my tickets I’ve ever flown. Sadly it was lost in a flood 🙂 recently
I’d use it to store chargers and cords.
I use it as a travel kit
just as a simple travel kit
I have donated unused ones to a women’s shelter before. Toiletries are appreciated by them and as a frequent traveler I can only have so any extra bags at home and I’m never sure what the airline does with left kits after a flight.
To hold all of my electronic chargers
I use as is, ie a travel toiletry kit to put my tolietries in
I use it to carry my Starbucks instant coffee and Splenda. I am in transit now from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan and……… although I love the tea here, I can’t easily find a good coffee in this part of the world. Instant Starbucks can be great form the travel kit bag!!!
I use them to store travel related toiletry, eletronic charging stuff…
I have not reused an amenity kit yet, but storing cables/charges sounds like a great use.
I could really use one, my current one is falling apart.
I’ve “reused” them as gifts for family members on their return flights after visiting.
I use them for storing different toiletries at home.
I use it as a travel kit (toothbrush / paste etc…)
Store mementos of the trip!
Reuse the kits to store small mementos (coins, charms, etc).
Storing my chargers
I use it as a case for my camcorder
storing my cables, chargers for traveling.
I’ve also used it to store cables & chargers.
I use them as a pencil case holder to remind me what hard work in school will lead up to!
