American Airlines among other airlines is experiencing weather delays in and out of Dallas. Our hearts and thoughts go out to families effected by the storms. Consider checking out the Oklahoma Red Cross to help those effected by the storm. There are plenty of people that need and will appreciate the assistance.
My original post was completed before having full knowledge of the storms and their impact. I had my second AA flight of the year booked through Dallas tonight, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the weather in the area. I had even attempted to pre-order my first class meal, but learned that a meal cannot be pre-ordered less than 24 hours before a flight.
Was really looking forward to my Cheese Tortellini with Romano Sauce and a Glenlivit. That pales in comparison to the problems others are facing in the region.
Are any of you experiencing the same delAAys tonight? Stay safe.

Considering the disaster from the storms I’m sure all are being affected. I spent the night on the floor of DFW in 91 when my inbound from YYZ was delayed six hours, arriving at 0100. That was shortly after Delta lost a plane inbound at DFW in weather like this.
Better safe than sorry.
Sorry dude. Stay safe out there.
Horrible,37 dead and I think 7 children. Not to mention lots of injured people.
Hi Dan – Certainly.
Hi Marshal – Thanks. Stay safe.
Hi Jorge – It is a terrible situation out there.
That Delta flight was an L1011 that the pilot almost saved. Thunderstorms and windshear.
I flew that flight the day before the crash. It is sobering to be that close.
Tonight’s news from OK is so sad and it seems as though this could be a bad year for bad weather.
DFW this time of year is always a crapshoot. Try to book to get out of there before noon if possible.
Very sad for the folks of OKC. They are some of the toughest, most resilient people I’ve ever known but this is going to take a while.
