It’s been a while since I had stayed at a Hilton. With the recent Hilton Honors program devaluation, Hilton just hasn’t been an attractive place to earn hotel points. I have friends who are Hilton die-hard guests, but it doesn’t make sense for my stay patterns. However, during a trip, Hilton was the only game in town, so I really didn’t have a choice in hotels. But I was very surprised by one thing, their bath amenity.
Back in the day when I used to stay at Hilton hotels quite often, they had the L’OCCITANE products and I generally found those to be good. But during my most recent visit I noticed (finally) a change in bath amenity product.
The new bath amenity by Peter Thomas Roth comes with:
- Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich shampoo
- Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich conditioner
- Deluxe Shower Cap
- Messaging Soap Bar
- Moisturizer
What was most surprising is the price tags these items fetch over on ebay.
Bottom Line
I was pleasantly surprised by the Hilton Peter Thomas Roth bath amenities. What are your thoughts on the Hilton Peter Thomas Roth bath amenity? Are there any other good ones at Hilton properties?

I just completed a stay at the Hilton Tower Bridge in London and they had the same bathroom amenitys as well.
Wow, I had no idea people actually sell PTR hotel amenities on eBay. They’re just “ehh” in my opinion, though. Certainly not worth what some of those auctions are fetching.
Well, I don’t care very much about which brand of toiletries is provided, but I can confirm that I also found Peter Thomas Roth during my last two stays at Hilton hotels (over the last one or two years).
What I found a bit disappointing was the fact that I did not find any shower gel provided at those places.
There seems always to be some conditioner I don’t need, but only rarely I do find shower gel.
Hilton has been offering Peter Thomas Roth bath products since 2011. Agree with Darren, they are just “ehhh” in my opinion as well. I stayed at a Waldorf Astoria couple months ago and they had Salvatore Ferragamo bath products. Regarding eBay prices, you can ask whatever you want for a little bottle of shampoo. I want to see if people actually pay $12 for that.
Hilton switched over a few years back to this product. I like the messaging soap bar 😉 but agreeing with you and I’m leaving Hilton behind next year.
I too have seen these products at all full service Hilton’s for the last 12-18 months. The bath gel and hand lotion are very good. I found the shampoo and conditioner horrible and would never use them.
Recently I looked closely at the back label of all the products and realized that they are actually made in China so now I won,t use any of the products. As a practice I will not eat any food or put anything into or onto my body that is made in china. Don,t trust their quality control. Sorry Hilton.
> Sharon, thanks for pointing that out! That’s too bad cause I like the PTR brand will have to check if the regular sizes are also nw made in China.
I also will not eat anything or put anything on my skin made in China.
The bath gel is my favourite. It comes with “massage” bits.
Also to things that are made in china, there is absolutely no way you can avoid.
Yes, unfortunately Hilton has significantly devalued the HHonors program. Was the best for quite some time, but no longer. I agree that the PTR bath gel with its massage bits is enjoyable.
During my stay, i got the body lotion both original one and made in China ~~
Obviously, the original one is more moisture and the made in China one feel like diluted ~~
But still Hilton used it for their so call VALUE customer 🙂
