We all do it. I’m just as guilty as the next guy. A keepsake from a journey somewhere around the world. One of our favorite trinkets probably isn’t what the typical person would pick up, but for us it is perfect.
The story behind this trinket takes us back to our first year anniversary trip to Paris, Tuscany, and a little island off the coast of Italy called Sardinia. We redeemed 100,000 Delta miles per person for a multi-stop itinerary in the old style Business Elite seats.
The hotel we chose on Sardinia was the Luxury Collection Patrizza hotel. We stayed only three nights at the Pitrizza but were treated well as a Platinum Starwood member. An award redemption and upgrade to an ocean view villa was a great deal for 60,000 points. A trip we will never forget, especially with a weekly reminder from this little Chotchkie.
Everytime we open a cold one with that little trinket it takes us back to that trip and time in our lives. Which makes it all the more worthwhile to keep. And it is always beer-30 somewhere!
