Earlier this week, Virgin America announced their new safety video, which they called a Safety Dance.

However, they are already casting for their new safety video (which they must re-do, since the FAA has relaxed the rules on using portable electronic devices, so this current video will soon be outdated).

If you want to be in their new Safety Video, you must submit a video on Instagram Video by November 22nd, showing your best dance moves. Your video must be under 15 seconds and must use the their official song.

Virgin America Judges

Judging will be based on creativity and originality as well as fitting the safety video contest theme.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When does the contest begin, and what’s the deadline for entering?
Entries will be accepted from 5:00 a.m. (ET) on October 29, 2013 until 3:00 p.m. (ET) November 22, 2013.

Who is eligible to enter the contest?
Each entrant must be over 18 and a legal resident of the U.S. Please see the official rules for all the details.

What’s the Virgin America Safety Dance, anyway?
The airline that first put an irreverent twist on the in-flight safety video in the U.S. is taking its pre-flight safety education to new heights. We tapped Hollywood Director (John Chu, known for his work in Step Up II & III, G.I. Joe, and the Microsoft Surface ads) to create a dynamic, high-energy safety video set entirely to dance and song — which reflects the brand’s musical roots and our commitment to “making flying fun again.”

Can there be more than one dancer?
Yes, but there can only be one official entrant. Please see the official rules for all the details.

How can I submit my child’s video for entry?
Each entrant must be over 18 and a legal resident of the U.S. You must enter and submit a video from your Instagram account. If that video includes footage of your child, that is allowed, but you will be the official entrant.

What if I want to use another song in my video submission?
You can use your own music — however, to be featured in our “Judge the Contestants” section, you will need to include the Virgin America Safety Dance music, which can be downloaded here.

How can I view or share my submission?
You can view or share your video after submission on the Thank You page using that page’s sharing links. Or you can share the video via your personal Instagram account — hashtag #VXsafetydance

So what are the prizes?
One grand prize winner will be selected. The winner’s video submission will be added to a future version of the safety video and will win round-trip flights for two in Main Cabin on Virgin America’s network.

When will I know if I’m a winner?
The winners will be notified by phone on or around December 16, 2013, and at that point they will have three (3) days to respond.

How do I contact Virgin America about this contest?
If you have questions not answered here, please email promos@virginamerica.com.
