Bottom Line
12,000 MeliaRewards points won’t get you a free night at all their hotels but there are several to chose from. It only takes a few minutes to sign-up so you might as well.

12k bonus points can not be transferred to any other reward program…. only useful for Melia hotels. Not many in United States.

Do you know if these Melia points can be transferred to another Melia rewards account? There is a TRANSFER OF POINTS option but it gave me this error message: (Sorry. When I tried to transfer my husband’s 12K points into my account, I was given this error message: “There was an error in the transfer. Please try again later”
