Uber just announced that they are dropping prices by 20% for their popular UberX service in New York City. They claim that these new prices make their cars cheaper than a New York City taxi.
As a reminder, if you haven’t joined Uber yet, you should since your first ride is free (up to $30).

Uber is great since you can go onto your phone and request a car and usually within in minutes it will be at your requested location, and now with even cheaper prices, there’s no reason not to use UberX over a taxi!
