One of my least favorite ways to earn bonus points in the My Starbucks Rewards program is the promotion that starts today where Starbucks attempts to lure you in with purchases on consecutive days to earn bonus stars. If you complete the challenge, and redeem the code that will be delivered via e-mail by September 5th, it basically gives you two stars for each purchase rather than one star.
Starbucks Starts Another Targeted Rewards Challenge
I’m aware of two different target offers. My offer was to earn 4 bonus stars for purchases 4 days in a row, 6 bonus stars for 6 purchases in a row and 8 bonus stars for 8 purchases in a row today through August 21. My friend was targeted for a larger bonus – earn 6 bonus stars for 6 purchases in a row, earn 8 bonus stars for 8 purchases in a row and 10 bonus stars for 10 purchases in a today through August 23.
Bottom Line
Check your e-mail to see if your Starbucks rewards account was targeted for one of the promotions. As the Starbucks e-mail warns, you have to sign up and get started today to reach the maximum number of stars.
Mine is completely different:
Today through Aug 27, collect 10 starts, earn 10 bonus. Collect 14 and earn 20 bonus 🙂
Wow Ben, I’m impressed … yours is definitely bigger!
Mine is even more different: through the 27th, collect 4 stars, earn TEN. Collect 5 stars, earn TWENTY.
Mine is not even close to those
Collect 4 stars and earn 10 bonus stars
collect 5 stars and earn 20 bonus stars
not sure why
I also got the 4/10, 5/20 offer. I think we’re winning. This is on top of an “iced tea” offer I got for the month of August, something like 7 teas gets me 10 bonus. They’re literally giving away the free drinks!
I’m amazed at the number of different offers everyone is receiving. I would love to see the marketing analysis that decides ‘who’ gets ‘what’ offer.
