The Delano Las Vegas is a boutique hotel at the busy Mandalay Bay casino. It’s connected to the same Casino but it couldn’t be farther from the noise and hustle. The hotel had its grand opening on Thursday and we had the pleasure of attending the opening party.
Delano Las Vegas Grand Opening VIP Party
Upon arrival we were given our VIP access to the opening event filled with open bars (6 of them), models and music. The lobby was transformed into a big party to celebrate the hotel’s renovation and official grand opening.
Delano Las Vegas Lobby
The lobby on a normal day is a quiet and tranquil place. If I had to sum it up it truly is and gives you the feel of a boutique hotel. It reminds me of the Andaz in New York City but with access to a great Casino in Las Vegas.
All of the rooms in the Delano are suites. For this trip I used my MLife Platinum account and was given a two room suite overlooking the strip. The rate was great on Thursday and then I used a $90 upgrade fee to upgrade a conference hotel room rate for the remainder of my stay.
The walk to the casino is short. Just past Della’s Kitchen is the hallway to the casino. The Mix bar is just before you get to the Casino and has some great views of the city.
Bottom Line
The Delano Las Vegas is a great boutique hotel that gives you piece and quiet along with access to a great casino. I’ll definitely look at this hotel for a return trip to Vegas.
