Bottom Line
I shop at Target so much anyway that it makes a lot of sense for me to get this deal. The 10% free gives me an extra $30 to spend at Target, plus I will benefit from the $270 charge to hit my spend threshold on my new Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express.

I did not think Target counted for a grocery, Walmart does not.
Can you buy other gift card(visa gift) with Taget Gfit card?
American Express treats all Target and Walmart stores to be a supermarket but not a grocery. Amex didn’t follow Visa MCC code list. You will not get 6% from BCP. Only US Bank flexplus will give you 2 flexpoint rebate, Sallie Mae MasterCard give you 5% rebate or Santander Bravo give you 3% rebate,
