That’s right, starting December 1st, Delta is expanding its selection of regional and craft beers to the East Coast Shuttle, West Coast Shuttles and on transcontinental flights. I think Beer-Thirty just got a little bit better in Business Class on Delta flights.
But don’t worry if you’re an epicurean stuck in economy, you can still enjoy these great craft beers at a cost in coach.
New Craft Beers On Delta Routes
The new beers include some good ones, but you’ll only find certain beers on certain select routes. Check out the new craft beers on select Delta routes below:
- East Coast Shuttle (LGA to/from BOS, DCA, ORD) Blue Point and Newburyport – offered complimentary
- Transcontinental (JFK to/from LAX, SEA, SFO) Brooklyn Brewery and Ballast Point – $7, and in the southeast Sweetwater 420 – $7
- West Coast Shuttle (LAX to/from SFO – operated by Delta Connection) Lagunitas and Stone – offered
complimentary
As usual, Heineken and Miller Lite will remain available, with Blue Moon and Corona also available on most flights.
Bottom Line
Regional and craft beers are a welcome addition to any airplane, and it’s nice to see Delta is hoping on board this trend. I’m hoping that they market and promote the beers, and it paves the way for more new and interesting beer choices on other selected Delta routes.
What’s the last beer you had on an airplane? How good was it?
For once, some good enhancements. I’ve enjoyed the Sweetwater 420 on previous flights from ATL, hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to enjoy the other offerings.
