Earlier today we told you about a very limited time offer from JetBlue to fly from New York City to one of 32 destinations for $32 each way. Well, not wanting to pass up an amazing deal (or the chance to get out of the East Coast cold weather for a few days), I decided to book a ticket from JFK to LAX for just under $64 round trip.Since I will be arriving around 10am, I think I will hit the In-And-Out Burger on Sepulveda Boulevard for a Double Double Animal Style, and maybe some fries well done?
Just outside the In-And-Out Burger is a small grassy field where photographers take pictures of airplanes overhead that just a couple thousand feet from landing. The last time I was in Los Angeles I attempted a few pictures. This was my best shot … and it qualifies because there is an airplane in the picture. Sort of.
I was also thinking about hitting up Manhattan beach, and trying to improve my photography skills there as well. I will also enjoy the irony of being on Manhattan beach, over 3,000 miles away from the other Manhattan.
So while I am looking forward to my little adventure to LAX, I am am always open to suggestions in and around the area, perhaps working on my photography skills?
Bottom Line:
You tell me – where to go, stay, do, see, eat in and around the LAX area.
You can earn 6 points per $1 on JetBlue purchases with The JetBlue Plus Card or 3 points per $1 on JetBlue purchases with The JetBlue Card.Â
Malibu not Manhattan beach – Our restaurants dont compare to those on the east coast but Nobu in Malibu is excellent.
Sad that I wasn’t able to get the $64.00 round trip! to NYC on jet blue this morning – I got the email – went to jet blue it showed two seats on the outbound and 1 on the return, hit purchase and got a message saying they were no longer available and was take back to a page saying LAX and Burbank to NYC were both sold out…. very very sad.
