I am spending a few days this week at the Park Hyatt Seoul in South Korea. This is one of the 22 properties that are increasing in category on the Hyatt Award Chart for 2015.
The nice thing about Hyatt is that when they announced the Award Chart changes in early December 2014, they announced that the lower rates are bookable using the current award chart until January 22, 2015. So this got me thinking … I have about a week and a half to save some points if I am interested in stays at the following Hyatt hotels:I have one definite property to book before the rates go up – the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach. We had a nice long weekend there last summer, and I definitely want to do it again in 2015.
I am also looking at the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée and the Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht. I would love to visit the Park Hyatt Maldives before it escalates to category 7, but that might not be possible for me in 2015.
As a reminder, here is the Hyatt points chart:And the Cash + Points chart:Bottom Line
It’s a great time to save some points by booking one of the 22 Hyatt Hotels going up a category for 2015. Registration for Hyatt’s 2015 winter-spring promotion Stay More Play More also opens today for stays from January 15 to April 30, 2015. Me and the wife will be in Seoul this week, looking forward to the cold weather from being in Hawaii!
We changed from the Hyatt to a boutique hotel to take advantage of the 100 dollar credits from orbitz during the holidays. Ended up paying only 42 a night for a four star hotel 🙂
@Drew B … oooh, fantastic deal. Any tips on what you and the Mrs. are doing in Seoul? I am always looking for a tip or trick! 😉
Def the dmz tour of the dmz. If you like seafood or the Tokyo fish market, Noryangjin fish market is pretty cool. Lotte world if you like amusement parks. Too much to do in a week!
