Check out this email I received from Uber the other day offering $5 fares around Atlanta. “It’s just too cold for long waits and tough commutes from Buckhead. With uberX now 20% cheaper in ATL and minimum fares as low as $5, your dollar can take you farther than ever.”

Bottom Line
I don’t know how Uber makes money with only $5 fares! All I know is that I like Uber’s service and use it all the time. If you haven’t tried Uber yet, you can get a $20 credit on your first ride when you sign up here.

Well, they lowered the rates but UberX disappeared at least here in Minneapolis. I tried in 3 different days to get a Uber from my home to the airport and only Uber Black was available. Very annoying!!!!
