You can even use cash-and-points bookings to extend your stay. Booking must be done online or via a mobile device starting at 12pm EST on March 10th thru 12pm EST on March 11th. It’s good for stays from March 10, 2015 thru December 28, 2015.

Bottom Line:
This may or may not be a deal depending on your situation.  Redeeming for a long weekend stay may be a value, but during the summer slump during the long hot days of August, maybe not much of a value.  Personally I would rather hold onto my IHG points for a more exotic destination.
