On my recent trip to London, I decided to check out the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at JFK. With Virgin Atlantic and Delta’s recent partnership, Delta Gold, Platinum and Diamond Medallions flying on Delta or Virgin Atlantic in either coach or Business Class to London have access to the clubhouse.
As a Delta Platinum Medallion flying New York (JFK) t0 London on Delta in coach, I decided to take advantage of this new perk.
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is located on the A concourse at Terminal 4 and opens at 3pm each day for the evening departures.
Lounge Review: Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse JFK
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse featured a nice dining area, where you could sit down at a table and order food service.
The Clubhouse featured several shower rooms as well, if you wanted to freshen up before your flight.
All the cocktails and food items are complimentary for guests in the lounge (unlike the Delta Sky Club which charges for meals)
Virgin Atlantic does have one morning departure flight each day to London and the lounge is open in the morning as well serving breakfast.
There is a large selection of tapas and flat breads
As well as main courses, so you shouldn’t go hungry while here.
I opted for the Clubhouse burger, which was pretty tasty.
For dessert, I went with the warm chocolate fondant with a side of vanilla ice cream.
There is a large selection of specialty cocktails as well, and the bartenders will you make you anything you desire as well.
There is tons of seating the lounge and it never felt busy while I was there.
There are 3 iMac computers you can use, and the lounge has complimentary WiFi throughout which was extremely fast as well!
You could play a round of pool or watch some TV, while waiting for your flight.
Or you could take a shower in one of the shower suites, or get a massage or haircut in the bumble and bumble spa.
Bottom Line
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at JFK is probably the best lounge at JFK, and the great thing with the recent Delta partnership is that Delta Medallion members flying to the United Kingdom now have access to it.
Per Delta, Platinum and Diamond Medallion members, plus one guest, traveling on a transatlantic Delta or Virgin Atlantic operated flight to/from the United Kingdom have access to the Clubhouses when their transatlantic flight starts/ends in the United Kingdom.
In addition, Gold Medallion members and a companion may have access to all Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses in the U.S. when traveling between the U.S. and the U.K.
The only downside is it’s a LONG walk from VS Clubhouse to the Delta side of Terminal 4.
Other than that, it is an awesome lounge!
