Weddings. What could go wrong? Well, the answer to that question could win an “I Do Redo” at the Ft. Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa. The grand prize winner will win a wedding do-over for 50 guests plus accommodations and pampering for the winning couple and their wedding day VIPs. The contest is open from now until March 29, and couples can win by sharing their wedding day drama by submitting their story, along with a photo or video, under the “I Do Redo†tab on the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort Facebook Page.
Chance For a Wedding Re-Do
The prize package also includes a beach ceremony and reception with catering, drinks, a wedding cake, flowers, lighting and photography, videography and a DJ.
The catch? The winning couple will receive a 4-night stay, and two guest rooms will be set aside for two nights for ‘Wedding VIPs’. Rooms for the other guests will be available at a Group Rate.
Complete Terms and Conditions:
Through March 29, 2015, couples can share their wedding day saga (silly or sentimental) with a favorite photo or video on Facebook for the chance to win a magnificent I Do Redo wedding celebration at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach. The resort’s wedding specialists will choose their favorite entries, with three prizes available:
Grand Prize: A 2015 soiree for up to 50 guests including a beach ceremony and reception with catering, drinks, a wedding cake by Dona Doce, flowers by Panache Style, and lighting, photography, videography and DJ entertainment by Ron Wood Photography & Video. Hair and makeup for five provided by Ultimate Bridal Beauty. Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach will arrange a four-night stay for the happy couple as well as a 50-minute massage and manicure at SiSpa. Two guestrooms will be set aside for two nights to accommodate VIP wedding guests, with additional rooms available at a group rate.
Second and Third Place Prizes: Two-night stay in 2015 in an Ocean View guestroom with daily breakfast and valet parking.
For all prizes, transportation and incidentals are not included, and resort arrangements are subject to availability and blackout dates. Exact on-property location of wedding celebration subject to weather conditions. Unused guest rooms or prize components will not carry over as a credit following the event or promotion period. All photos, videos and stories shared through the contest may be reused by Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa for marketing and promotional purpose.
Bottom Line:
While this is a cool marketing idea with a valuable grand prize, Marriott has also figured out a way to sell some rooms on a Group Rate to the winners friends and family.
Is anyone planning to enter? Care to share a brief summary of your story?
Cool idea. I almost wish they would make this more sentimental and open this to widows or widowers. Like there are a lot of 2nd marriages happening because of military deaths etc. It would be sad and sentimental but really beautiful.
Hi Heather – I like their idea and focus. Wonder what kind of rates they’d be willing to negotiate for the “wedding party”?
