I was recently at the Hyatt for a weekend and when I received my Diamond welcome amenity of 2 beers and cheese plate, I started thinking about the most clutch hotel amenities. I have posted several posts around this topic. There is nothing worse then getting settled into your comfortable hotel room and wanting to get happy hour started, only to find that you have no way to take the edge off.

Clutch Hotel Welcome Amenity

After checking in at the Hyatt, I was offered a choice of Diamond welcome amenity. We chose the bucket of beers and a cheese plate. But it came with one of the most clutch items you can receive as part of the welcome amenity packet.

Sure an ince cold bucket of beers or bottle of wine is nice. But if you can’t take the edge off with a beer or unwind with a bottle of wine, it does you no good.

A clutch item is a bottle opener, but an even better welcome amenity is a bottle opener to use throughout your trip. I once received a Luxury Collection bottle opener from the La Pitrizza hotel and still have it to this day.

Bottom Line

Hyatt hotels does a great job with welcome amenities from beer to wine to food. But most important of all is the bottle opener or the wine opener. These items are hard to find in some hotels, so when they pop up it’s a nice site to see and sure does get you to happy hour just a bit quicker.
