Following today’s earlier posts about the Centurion lounges including Lounge Review: Amex Centurion Lounge San Francisco and the Amex Centurion Lounge Dallas Secret Bar Menu, I got several questions about how to access these.
Lucky enough, it turns out that there is a trick in which you can get free access to the American Express Centurion Lounges which I will explain below.
Presently these lounges are located in Dallas-Ft. Worth, New York LaGuardia, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Two more are expected to open in Miami and Seattle, which a total of 40 coming online in the coming years.
How To Get Free Access to the American Express Centurion lounges:Â
Normally to get access you must have either the Platinum Card® from American Express, or the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.
How does one quickly become an Ameritrade customer?
Kath, you don’t actually have to be one, that isn’t enforced when signing up for it.
If I apply for this Ameriprise Amex Platinum Card, does that mean i can’t then apply for a regular Amex Platinum Card? Or are these considered different cards?
I am thinking of applying for annual fee waived version but does this mean that I forego the opportunity to earn 100k or 150k sign up bonus offer that Amex Plat has, since for Amex, the sign up bonus is once in a lifetime, isn’t it?
Are folks still having success with the Ameritrade first year no annual fee offer despite not being an Ameritrade customer? I’m thinking of signing up today. Thanks!
DFW Centurion will be great for me, I travel a lot from there. Tasty hot food whenever you stop by and a to have a drink. It is a great place to relax before your next flight or while you’re in transit.
It appears responders are confusing Ameritrade with Ameriprise which are not the same. Ameritrade is mostly a self directed brokerage which is easy to sign up but mentioned in this article. Ameriprise is a financial planning outfit which involves annoying sales calls and pitches. That is the outfit they are talking about here.
***but mentioned*** should actually read “but NOT mentioned”.
