JetBlue launched their 89th destination today with nonstop service between New York (JFK) and Reno/Lake Tahoe, Nevada onboard their A320 aircraft.
Per JetBlue: JetBlue Airways  today launched service to its latest destination, Nevada’s Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), with nonstop service from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
“Our airport and community are overjoyed to be offering non-stop service to New York on an incredible airline like JetBlue” Marily Mora, President and CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, said. “Our 24-hour town is now connected to the City that Never Sleeps. The New York Skyline is one flight away from our towering mountain peaks.”Â
In addition to new access to New York City, customers will also have connecting opportunities via JetBlue’s JFK Terminal 5 to several destinations along the East Coast as well as America’s largest network of Caribbean destinations. Reno-Tahoe marks JetBlue’s 89th destination.
JetBlue will serve the route with its Airbus A320 aircraft and daily service will operate between June 18, 2015 and September 11, 2015, as well as between November 25, 2015 and January 4, 2016. Other times of year, service will operate Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Bottom Line
I’m excited for this route as I think it will be great to connect New York to Reno/Lake Tahoe. I’ve been to Lake Tahoe several times and you can check my reviews here: Hotel Review: Hyatt Lake Tahoe as well as Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Lakeside Cottage.
