SPG recently launched their New Keyless Check-In which allows hotel guests to use their smartphone to check in, get the room number, and unlock the door through the SPG app which can be downloaded for iPad, iPhone and Android and now Apple Watch.

SPG hopes to have SPG Keyless in 30,000 doors in 150 hotels around the world by early 2015. According to SPG only stays that meet the following criteria are eligible to use SPG Keyless:
- Member must have an SPG number, a valid email address, a valid credit card and a registered mobile device
- Reservation must be made for only one room
- Reservation must be made through Starwood websites, mobile websites, the SPG apps or the Customer Call Center

I’m glad to see SPG Keyless continue to roll out at even more properties. This seems like some true innovation on the part of SPG and I personally hope the program is a success, as I always seem to forget my room number or lose my room key.
