Hyatt has just opened its latest property in Mexico, the Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen Resort, which is a Category 5 property located right on the beach. It does feature a Grand Club, so Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond members can take advantage of the lounge.
A little bit about the property:
The design concept by acclaimed Mexican architect Sordo Madaleno and award-winning New York based Rockwell Group has crafted original and memorable spaces with subtle characteristics of the spirit of the destination through natural elements, artwork, textures and light. The 314 rooms and suites create an apartment-style oasis with their floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for amazing views of the natural beauty.
Unique food & beverage concepts and signature offerings from our restaurants and bars will set the stage for you to enjoy the local flavors of Playa. Located along the Paseo, a large, open-air corridor that connects the entrance of the hotel all the way to the beach – our two restaurants and three bars/lounges are our own extension of the vibrant offerings of La Quinta Avenida.
Inspired by the Cenotes, a unique geological formation typical from the Yucatan Peninsula area that is a surface for pure subterranean water bodies, often connected to extensive deep underwater cave systems, the Spa at Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort is a true highlight. The spectacular architecture resembles the shape of a Cenote, creating the perfect environment to enjoy the variety of body and facial treatments and special packages for the retreat you deserve. You’ll also enjoy the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness center where you will be able to keep your exercise routine while traveling.
