Million Mile Secrets writes that there are hot deals on flights to Hong Kong right now available starting at around $496! I did a few searches and was able to find a lot of availability and great rates out of Chicago into Hong Kong on Air Canada. The next best rate was nearly double this price on United $812. I used Orbitz to search because you can easily see all fares and can search +/- 3 days to find flexibility in the itinerary. In one of the itineraries I searched, I found a cheap fare on Air Canada out of Seattle (with one stop) but there was a direct flight on Delta for only a couple hundred more, so that was good to see that option as an additional choice.

It’s funny how Air Canada offers good fares from the US, but charges almost double from Canada. I was looking at flights to Hong Kong from Montreal and while it’s still a good price for HKG, it’s nothing close to the 500 USD fare from the US.
