It appears that another (targeted) Delta offer has surfaced and this one is you can earn 2,500 bonus Delta SkyMiles for flying a domestic first class trip now through October 31st.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility: Only members who receive this communication directly from Delta Air Lines are eligible to participate in this offer. Eligible members must be an existing SkyMiles member and must first register online, then book by October 31, 2015 (ending 11:59:59pm, U.S. CDT on 10/31/15), and fly between August 21, 2015, and October 31, 2015. This offer is nontransferable. Promotional registration is required before purchasing and taking flight and only tickets purchased (following promotional registration) will qualify for this bonus.

Bonus Offer: Purchase and fly a Delta or Delta Connection-marketed and -operated roundtrip flight between August 21 and October 31, 2015 to earn a 2,500 bonus miles for domestic paid First Class and Business Class or domestic paid First Class and Business Class Upgrade (F, P, A, G, J, C, D, I, Z). Travel must be between August 21, and October 31, 2015. Complimentary or Upgrade with Miles do not qualify for this offer. Basic Economy (E) fares are not eligible for upgrades.
