Earlier this summer, we posted about an amazing deal-  Mistake Rate: Grand Hyatt Santiago for $2 per Night, where American Express Platinum Cardholders were able to book rooms at the Grand Hyatt Santiago Chile at $1,600 CLP which is $2.42 USD per night.
We then announced that after speaking to Amex on the phone that they would honor it, but today Amex has officially sent out emails stating such. Below is a copy of the email:

We are writing to inform you that a technical glitch on the website caused room rates for this property to display incorrectly.  At American Express, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience, and that means letting you know when an error occurs – and how we plan to resolve it.
Please be assured that we will honor the prices presented to you during the shopping and booking process online. You will be asked to pay that nightly rate – plus any applicable taxes, fees and other expenses incurred during your stay – upon checkout at the Grand Hyatt Santiago using a valid American Express Card.

I booked 22-26 Dec, but not sure if I can go.
