We recently wrote about how you could earn 2 Free Uber Rides From American Express Centurion Lounge LGA, as they were giving out these rides for those on arriving flights into LaGuardia. As I was in DC for the weekend and flying back today, I decided to stop in the lounge to see if I could pick-up the free Uber rides.

As I checked in, the agent acknowledged my arrival boarding pass and asked if I needed transportation into the city. I said Yes, and was given the following code which was good for 2 Uber rides from LGA to any of the five boroughs.

I then loaded up my phone and entered in the code. After having some food and drinks in the lounge, it was time to hit the curb where I decided to request a Uber Black car. The card makes no mention of what car you can request, so you most likely could also request an Uber SUV if you want.

Requesting a Black Car yielded me with a nice Cadillac Escalade back into the city. 35 minutes in the car and I was back, however my total fare was $0. Normally this ride would of been $98.25, so this is a great perk of the Platinum Card from American Express.

As a reminder to get access to the Amex Centurion Lounge at LaGuardia, you’ll need either the Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express OPEN.

Bottom Line

This was a fantastic perk thanks to my Platinum Card® from American Express, which provided me access to the Centurion Lounge at LGA. To get the 2 free Uber rides, you MUST have an arrival boarding pass. If you’re departing LGA, you won’t be given one. This offer goes through December 31st, though there is that chance that they may run out sooner.
