Quick rant as I’m trying to book some award stays with Hyatt, when I see the following message on their site, which is a weekly occurrence these days…

Hyatt.com, GoldPassport.com and other related sites are currently down for maintenance. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working hard to get everything in order and back online. Please come back soon!

Bottom Line

Hyatt, can you please make your site more reliable, and have it down all the time?

Rant over…

  1. Pretty aggravating — been running into this A LOT the past couple days. Even tweeted Hyatt and asked what was up, got the above error, a different error, and a “proxy error” at one point. Between yesterday and today.

  2. Not sure if your posting to get someone to read or whether you really believe that Hyatt has the “unreliable” hotel website. Saw that and simply do what I do when I see any of the sites I go to, wait. I can tell you that in my travel for business which averages 100K for work a year all PAID FC I see this from ALL of the major hotels or other travel sites I use.

So is it your opinion that the Hyatt is the most unreliable ? If so how are you judging it? By the by I have no connection to Hyatt other than being and having been a Diamond for many years.

Sorry it just sees these blogs are all looking for a headline and losing site of what they purport to be

    Just saying

  3. I never noticed how bad Hyatt’s website was until a few days ago… thought about booking a few rooms at a Hyatt last night and today but booked rooms at other properties instead. Not going to pick up the phone and call when I can go to another chain’s website and book a room online.
