One of our readers gave us a head’s up that Delta may be shuffling up their snacks onboard. Currently in the main cabin they offer peanuts, pretzels or Biscoff cookies, however that could soon change.
Delta is planning on offering the following snacks during their test phase on select flights:
- NatureBox Yogurt Bar
- Emerald Cashews
- Snyder’s Pretzels
- Biscoff Cookies
Other airlines such as JetBlue offer an assortment of snacks, so it seems that Delta is taking notice.
A look at some of JetBlue snacks:
Bottom Line
Despite the new changes, they will still offer Biscoff cookies, so they’re not getting rid of Biscoff Cookies!
What are your thoughts on this latest change to their onboard snacks? Again, this is only a test right now (on select flights to/from Atlanta, and to/from Minneapolis)
Report back if you’re onboard one of the test flights with these new offerings.
Totally support it!
It really seems like they’re just out to replace peanuts with cashews (and add a yogurt bar). Studies have shown cashew allergies can actually be more severe that that of peanuts, although only about half as common as peanut allergies. You just don’t hear that much about it because cashews are much less prevalent than peanuts.
Just give me the option to pre-order a meal in any class. I’ll gladly pay.
I would miss the peanuts. They are my go to snack on Delta, even in first when the snack basket comes by.
As long as they keep the Biscoff cookies I’ll be OK with it. As for the first class snack basket, the Key Lime cookies are amazing.
Will cause an issue for me. I have a cashew allergy. Now I will be the Diamond member that everyone will hate because cashews will not be served on the plane.
