During the Holiday 2015 season Starbucks played web based game called “Starbucks For Life” where it gave players the ability to win a few stars or win enough stars to get free Starbucks beverages every day for life.
This summer they are bringing back the promotion Starbucks for Life: Summer Edition which runs from August 2 through September 12. Starbucks Rewards™ members who are 18 years and older can earn a game play each time they make a purchase using their registered Starbucks Card or the Starbucks® App.
The easier way to play  is to visit the Starbucks for Life site and follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form. An email with a unique link will be sent to the email address provided at registration. Click on the unique link to enter the Promotion Site and sign into your Account. Follow the links and instructions and you will receive either an Instant Win game prize or one Game Piece. If you are a potential winner of a prize, you will be provided directions for validation. You can register for up to four Game Pieces per day.
Here’s a look at what you can win:
- Seven lucky customers (five in the U.S. and two in Canada) will win the grand prize of Starbucks for Life.
- 30 customers (25 in the U.S. and five in Canada) will win Starbucks for a Year.
- 150 customers (125 in the U.S. and 25 in Canada) will win Starbucks for a Month
- 550 customers (500 in the U.S. and 50 in Canada) will win Starbucks for a Week.
In addition, instant-win Bonus Stars in increments of 125, 25, 10 and 5 Stars will be awarded.
Bottom Line:
While the odds of winning the bigger prizes – Starbucks for a week, Starbucks for a month, Starbucks for a year or even Starbucks for life – are incredibly slim, I still try and play the daily NO PURCHASE NECESSARY game for the instant win-bonus stars.

While in your Starbucks for Life game board screen, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, past the game board, you should see a note that says: “NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase of any kind will not increase your chances of winning. To enter without making a purchase, click here.
Purchase must be made at a participating Starbucks® store with your registered Starbucks® app or registered card. You can get a maximum of 4 plays per day.”
