Delta Air Lines announced they will be enhancing the experience of their Main Cabin passengers on flights between the U.S, and Japan starting today, by offering complimentary slippers to all passengers on-board.
Per Delta Air Lines,
Delta will debut slippers in Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin on all flights between the U.S. and Japan beginning Sept. 15, marking an industry first for this market.
The complimentary slippers for Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin customers will be offered on the flights between the U.S. gateways and Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Haneda, including the recently approved daytime flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul and Los Angeles to Haneda, which will begin at the end of October. Â
The initiatives were launched in May with new cultural enrichment sessions for Seattle-based crews. In addition, in-flight snacks have been upgraded with premium ice cream brands including Haagen Dazs, available on flights from Japan to the U.S., and Ben & Jerry’s or Magnum bars on flights from the U.S. to Japan as of July.Â
Bottom Line
This is a great new initiative, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Delta rolls it out to other Asia markets, and eventually Europe and all long-haul international flights.
