Last year we wrote how Delta Was Selling Medallion Qualifying Miles, which started on December 1st. I decided to phone up a the Medallion line this evening to see if I could get any insight on if they would be selling MQMs again this year, and sure enough the representative confirmed that they would be launching their Buy MQM promotion starting tomorrow, December 1, 2016.
Last year as a Platinum Medallion, I was offered the following prices for MQMs, however this year prices aren’t announced just yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re gonna be in the similar range.
- 2,500 MQMs for $2,195
- 5,000 MQMs for $2,495
- 7,500 MQMs for $2,795
- 10,000 MQMs for $2,995
The only information confirmed at this time is that this offer starts tomorrow December 1, 2016 and you’ll be able to buy up to a maximum of 10,000 MQMs. We’ll report back tomorrow the full details of their new offer.

That is insane! Who in their right mind would pay that? You could take an int’I flight for 1/4 the price for easily more than 10k mqms.
