Southwest Airlines their latest new route this week as they are continuing adding more routes nationwide. The latest route is between Austin, Texas and Kansas City, which will commence on March 13, 2017.
This new route comes as no surprise, as Southwest Airlines has the most capacity in Austin serving over 30 nonstop destinations worldwide including international destinations Cacncun and Cabo.
Per Southwest Airlines,
We’re excited to announce another new nonstop route connecting two longtime and important communities in the Southwest® network. Starting March 13, 2017, you’ll be able to travel nonstop between Austin and Kansas City! Introductory fares begin as low as $89 one-way and can be booked right now at Southwest.com.
Bottom Line
I think this is a great new route and one that many locals in Austin and Kansas City will be pleased about! Southwest is constantly adding and re-evaultiing their routes so it will be interesting to see if it can sustain this.
