The Delano Las Vegas, is located at the Mandalay Bay Resort, however operates as it’s own hotel with own lobby and check-in area. If you’re looking for a more relaxed Vegas hotel, then you may want to consider staying here as the hotel doesn’t have their own casino, however you can easily access the one at Mandalay Bay.
This property is part of the Fine Hotels and Resorts program for those holding the American Express Platinum Card, where you can receive a $100 resort credit, complimentary Wi-Fi, guaranteed 4pm late check-out, daily breakfast for two, room upgrade upon arrival, and an early check-in.
Upon check-in, I arrived around 12pm and was pleased to find out that my suite was ready. I was upgraded to a Scenic Suite, which offered a view of the Las Vegas Strip. I was informed of the above mentioned amenities including the $60 breakfast credit which can be used for in-room dining or in Della’s Kitchen, one of the hotel’s restaurants. The great thing about the $100 resort credit is it can be used at many restaurants and venues at either the Delano or the Mandalay Bay Resort.
Hotel lobby area was very quiet, unlike other Vegas hotels
The hotel’s main lobby area
Scenic Suite living room
Scenic Suite bedroom
Bathroom with a double vanity
Bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub.
View from the scenic suite featured the Las Vegas Strip directly overlooking the Luxor hotel
If you were looking for some more action, the Delano does have a hallway that connects you with the main Mandalay Resort and casino, so if you’re planning on using your Fine Hotels and Resorts credit, it’s easy to head over to the other property.
The Delano has their own spa called the Bathhouse, which is a really nice modern spa.
If you don’t plan on getting a treatment you can get a spa day pass for $30, which includes access to all the spa facilities including a whirlpool, cold plunge pool, steam room, sauna, and locker room. The hotel has a nice gym facility, which is complimentary for all hotel guests.
For breakfast, room service is the way to go if you’re looking to maximize your $60 breakfast credit. I ordered a bunch of food, and the entire check was removed from my folio upon check-out.
Bottom Line
I was really impressed with this property and the level of service I received throughout. Booking through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts was a great choice, since I received a punch of added value for my stay.
If you hold either the Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, be sure to take advantage of this great property.

Nice post. Do you remember if the couch in the living room is a pullout sofa that becomes a bed? Also, were you able to credit to Hyatt? Thanks.
Hi Julian, the living room did not have a pullout sofa. Was able to receive full credit with Hyatt. Added my World of Hyatt number at check-in.
Thank you. Do you know if they have rollaway beds and if they cost extra?
I don’t recall if they do, but I’m sure you could call the hotel and find out.
