Bottom Line
Check this out if you have an eligible AAdvantage® credit card. American Airlines is offering reduced mileage awards depending on what you choose. Could be helpful to some trying to use American miles.
So you get the same benefit whether you hold an $89 annual fee Aviator Red Card or a $450 annual fee Citi Executive card? Oh, that has got to have the Citi folk seeing Red!
Reduced mileage awards are nothing short of a lie. Good luck trying to find ANY reasonable MileSaaver awards these days.
My AA Citibank MasterCard card automatically gives 10% miles back (build in benefit promo) for all Advantage miles award redemptions. So if I book 80,000 mile ticket, I get 8000 miles credited back. Doubtful that AA/Citibank would be willing to credit me up to another 7500 miles even though my card type shows eligible.
