Big Hyatt news for their biggest Caribbean openings this year for both the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and the Park Hyatt St. Kitts. Based on my recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen, I can’t wait to try these new Hyatt resorts in the Caribbean.
The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is officially open, however is only welcoming invited guests this month. Reservations are being accepted starting May 29, 2017 for all guests. While this is a World of Hyatt Category 5, Mommy Points writes how the website displays rooms for only 15,000 points per night, which is Category 4 pricing.
If you’re looking to possibly get a reservation here at the lower points rate, be sure to book now and take screenshots of your booking, as the final screen may differ in pricing.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts also has an update, though unlike Baha Mar, this resort has been delayed for their opening, with a new anticipated opening date of November 1, 2017, however if you have a reservation this summer, the resort is proactively reaching out to guests with a few alternatives.
As Will Run for Miles reports, she received the following options:
Option A: Rebook at Park Hyatt St. Kitts for November 1st and on. We will cover up to $1,000 per person for any airfare changes and also offer two complimentary nights (outside of December 23rd – January 6th).Â
Option B: Move to Andaz Mayakoba and we will cover up to $1,000 per person for airfare changes and we will honor the rates.
Option C: Cancel completely and we will cover up to $1,000 per person for airfare change/cancel fees.
Do you plan on staying at either the the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar or the Park Hyatt St. Kitts later this year? Feel free to share your thoughts below!
