Fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Los Angeles now through the rest of this year in business class on Delta starting at $365 each-way. If you’re looking for a great mileage run deal, you’ll want to check this out since the best part is you’ll connect through New York’s JFK, meaning the LAX-JFK will be in lie-flat business class.
With this option, you’ll earn 6,109 Medallion Qualifying Miles each-way with the 50% class of service bonus. Roundtrip you’re looking at 12,218 MQMs for $730 all in business/first class on Delta. You can search for these on Google Flights or on Delta’s site.
Be sure to check out our How to Find and Book Airline Mileage Runs for ways to book these including having Juicy Miles book you a mileage run such as the one described here, or they can craft one for you based on your home airport.
Additionally, Delta offers a great status challenge program, where you can earn Silver, Gold, or Platinum Medallion status by flying a certain amount of miles in a 90 day period. If you were signed up for this, booking this mileage run would put you right there for Gold Medallion status, and well on your way to Platinum Medallion status.
Lastly, while not encouraged, as the first flight is from Los Angeles to New York (JFK) in Delta One and one of the options has only a 45 minute connection, if you happened to miss the San Juan flight there’s not much Delta could do, though just don’t planning on checking a bag. Delta One from Los Angeles to New York (JFK) is normally over $2,000 each-way so this is a fraction of the cost.
If American is your preferred airline, you can also see their similar deal they are offering to San Juan, though their routing doesn’t permit a New York (JFK) connection, so don’t expect lie-flat seats on them.
